Digital Assets Pioneers

Arab Bank Switzerland (ABS) is proud to be at the cutting edge of an entirely new asset class, offering a pioneering digital assets service since 2019.

Our commitment to digital assets goes beyond offering our customers secure custody and brokerage. We believe in blockchain’s potential as a positive business growth catalyst and, just as importantly, the cultural significance of the digitalisation of art.

This exciting new medium allows ABS to express its cross-cultural heritage, both celebrating shared values and exploring history, trends or tensions.

This passion is expressed through the Arab Bank Switzerland Collection and our patronage of this emerging space through the ABS Digital Art Prize.

“Innovation is part of our DNA.”
Rani Jabban, our Managing Director

Digital Art Collectors

Representing all key movements, major artists, and genres within the NFT space, the Arab Bank Switzerland Collection promotes engagement with digital art across the ABS Group while striving to make NFTs more accessible to institutions, collectors and investors.

Each year, we invite a key figure in the digital art space to curate part of the collection and help expand it. This endeavour also reflects changes that the space, in constant evolution, is experiencing, while always taking into account different artistic sensibilities.

“Why did Arab Bank Switzerland decide to build a digital art collection as soon as 2022? Because they understand the past and the present and see the future for their clients.”
Jean-Michel Pailhon, Curator of the 2023-2024 Vintage of the Arab Bank Switzerland Collection.

Digital Art Prize

To inspire and encourage digital artists, we created the ABS Digital Art Prize, now entering its third year. The ABS Prize is open to all artists using digital tools and who have previously created NFTs.

Past Jury Presidents were Inna Modja (in 2023) and Claire Silver (in 2024). The new Jury for 2025 will be announced at the end of 2024.

Artists in our Collection

Our cultural engagement is not a reaction to societal trends, but on the contrary, it’s a long-term endeavour. Thus, in 2022, we announced the creation of our own Digital Art Collection that uses NFTs as a medium.

An original collection, eclectic in the variety of pieces it assembles, often exhibited within the bank or during dedicated events. A combination of different art styles with must-see artists and renowned ensembles.

Bringing together a wide range of styles, with must-haves and renowned artists and series, our collection ranges from crypto art to photography, GenArt and AI art, as well as from PFP to trash art. A reflection of the digital art world today: complex, multiple, a hub of innovation reshaping the space.
