Cezar Mocan

Through the use of narrative generative systems, Cezar Mocan creates simulations that reveal technological observation as a form of worldmaking, while investigating technological lifecycles from hype through adoption, infrastructuralization and obsolescence. His work traces how infrastructures enabling our digital lives become embedded in the natural landscape, focusing on the moments when utility becomes nostalgia.

Cezar holds a B.S. in Computer Science (2016) from Yale University and an M.P.S. in Interactive Telecommunications (2021) from New York University, where he also served as a research resident and adjunct professor.
