ABS Digital Art Prize 2025
The ABS Digital Art Prize continues to evolve, reflecting the dynamic nature of digital art. This year, the ABS Digital Art Prize will be awarded in two categories:
Emerging Artist
Our traditional call for applications is open, following the selection process outlined below, and is dedicated to highlighting new and emerging talents. This category is open to all artists who use digital tools and have previously created NFTs. This prize is a unique opportunity to develop a new artwork and to benefit from the appraisal of renowned international experts.
The Emerging Artist will be awarded 5,000CHF and will be provided with visibility opportunities. His/her piece will also be added to the ABS Digital Art Collection.
Artist of the Year
Each of the six jury members will nominate two artists based on their careers and artistic journeys, taking into account both their body of work and creative impact. The jury members will then collectively choose, amongst their pool, one artist for this award. This category is exclusively based on jury recommendations – no online submissions will be accepted.
The Artist of the Year will be awarded 15,000CHF and will be provided with visibility opportunities. The Bank will also organise a Solo Show or a special exhibition in a cultural institution within the following 12 months.

How to apply to the Emerging Artist?
What are the evaluation criteria for the Emerging Artist?
The jury will review submitted art pieces based on the following criteria:
- Emotional relevance: the aesthetic and/or the concept of the piece generates an emotion.
- The final work must be created in 2024 or 2025, prior to the submission deadline.
- The final work has been minted in 2024 or to be minted in 2025.
- If selected as one of the 10 finalists, the work must be minted to qualify for acquisition.
- If already minted, the piece must be available on the primary market, or the artist must hold a token from the project.
- The submitted piece should align with the artist’s broader artistic journey.
- Bonus criteria: innovation, the concept or aesthetic of the piece has never been seen before in the Digital Art & NFT landscape.
