History of Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd.

Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. was founded in 1962 and has a recognized Swiss bank status. As a Swiss bank, it is subject to all Swiss banking laws, rules and regulations and is supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

For 50 years, Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. has been offering private banking services and has built an excellent reputation in the successful management of client assets. We are also a premier partner in several commercial banking areas. The clients of Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. originate from or are resident predominantly in Arab countries. As an independent sister company of Arab Bank plc, Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. can draw upon Arab Bank plc group's wide network of branches in the Arab world and in major financial centres around the globe.

At present, Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. has approximately 22’000 shareholders, mainly in the Middle East. The ratio of our shareholders’ equity is well above the standard set by Swiss and international monetary supervisory bodies, bearing witness to the bank’s excellent capitalization.
